Victorian govt supports Edenhope upgrade

written by australianaviation.com.au | October 17, 2012

Victorian Aviation Minister Gordon Rich-Phillips has announced $100,000 to upgrade Edenhope Aerodrome to support aerial emergency services access to the region.

The airport, which is located in the far west of Victoria, will have its airstrip widened to support aeromedical and firefighting services in the West Wimmera Shire Council area.  The facilities will be improved to meet the requirements of Air Ambulance Victoria’s King Air B350 fleet.  It will also be a boost to the region’s aerial agricultural operations.

The funding comes from the state government’s $20 million Regional Aviation Fund.
