Etihad Cargo enhances charter operations through Awery Aviation Software collaboration

Etihad Cargo, a division of Etihad Airways focused on cargo and logistics, has recently partnered with Awery Aviation Software in a bid to optimise its charter service operations amid a surge in e-commerce-driven demand. This partnership, announced against the backdrop of a 35 percent increase in charter requests and a 23 percent rise in conducted charters for Etihad in 2023 compared to the previous year, highlights the growing importance of efficient charter operations in the global logistics landscape.

The collaboration has resulted in the implementation of a customised Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system by Awery, tailored to streamline and enhance Etihad Cargo’s Chartering Programme. The move is aimed at improving operational efficiency, reducing response times, and offering competitive pricing to better serve customers and partners.

Awery Aviation Software, marking its 15th anniversary, serves the aviation sector with comprehensive software solutions. Its custom solution for Etihad Cargo is designed to integrate seamlessly with the carrier’s existing operational processes, signaling a significant advancement in charter service management.

The ERP system introduced by Awery is expected to revolutionise the processing of charter queries at Etihad Cargo, featuring intelligent automation for efficient information handling and future quote generation. This system is anticipated to improve data analytics, storage, and pricing capabilities, offering a streamlined approach for customers to accept or provide feedback on quotes. The goal is to ensure more competitive pricing and consistent service delivery alongside quicker response times.

Commenting on the development, Stanislas Brun, Vice President Cargo at Etihad Cargo, highlighted the increase in charters operated by the carrier in 2023 and elaborated on the anticipated benefits of the Awery ERP system in meeting the rising demand for charter services.

Vitaly Smilianets, CEO of Awery Aviation Software, reflected on the collaboration with Etihad Cargo, emphasising the goal of meeting the carrier’s needs and fostering a long-term partnership aimed at supporting Etihad Cargo’s future success.
