Boeing and Singapore Airlines have finalised a deal for eight 777-300ERs valued at $2.4 billion.

The airline said the order was part of an ongoing fleet expansion and modernisation program. The deal brings Singapore’s total 777 orders to 85, including 27 of the 777-ER long-range variant.

Boeing first announced the deal, attributed to an unidentified customer, in August.
