The Mexican Air Force has taken delivery of an Airbus C295 tactical airlifter, bringing to 10 its fleet of C295s, five of which were delivered last year.

The medium sized airlifter will primarily be used for troop transport but can also be configured for medical evacuation or can carry up to nine tonnes of palletized cargo.

To date, Airbus has sold 86 C295s to 14 operators, the company said.
