South America’s AviancaTaca has finalised an order for 33 Airbus A320neo and 18 current generation A320 Family aircraft. The deal builds on a memorandum of understanding signed at the Paris Airshow in June.

AviancaTaca was created in 2010 by the merger of Columbia’s Avianca Airlines and TACA Airlines of El Salvador. The company includes subsidiary AeroGal of Ecuador.

AviancaTaca operates a current fleet of 88 A320 Family aircraft and eight A330s. The newly ordered aircraft are tabbed to support expansion into new markets in Latin America.
