GECAS has signed an order for two ATR 72-600 turboprops.

US leasing company GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) has announced an order for two ATR 72-600 turboprops with two options.

The announcement builds on an order placed at the Paris Airshow in June last year and brings GECAS’s ATR orders to 17 with 17 options.

The aircraft leasing and financing arm of General Electric, GECAS has a current portfolio of more than 1750 owned and managed aircraft. The company recently leased three of its newly ordered ATR 72-600s to Brazilian regional carrier TRIP Linhas Aereas and has signed with Jet Airways in India for another five aircraft.
