Virgin ups capacity

Virgin Australia has announced increased capacity across a number of existing routes.

Virgin Australia has announced a series of extra flights across popular corporate, resource sector and leisure routes to meet what the airline describes as rising demand.

The additional flights, commencing service next month, include the following:

Adelaide-Melbourne: An additional return flight Mondays through Fridays; taking total flights between the two cities up to 10 per day or 130 per week.

 

Brisbane-Melbourne: An extra return flight seven days a week; taking total flights to up to 13 daily or 174 per week.

Melbourne-Sydney: An extra return flight seven days a week; taking total flights up to 31 daily or 392 per week.

Brisbane-Gladstone: One extra return flight on Sundays; taking total flights

Brisbane-Rockhampton: An extra return flight, Monday to Friday; taking total flights to 78 per week.

Brisbane-Cairns: An extra return flight every day except Saturdays; taking total flights to 80 per week.

Brisbane and Whitsunday Coast (Proserpine): An additional return service, Monday to Friday; taking total flights to 24 per week.
