Hawker touts avionics firsts

written by australianaviation.com.au | February 10, 2012

Hawker Pacific has completed what it says are several firsts in major avionics upgrades at its Asia Pacific Customer Service centres.

The company recently completed the retrofit of a Rockwell Collins Proline 21 for a Philippine-based customer at its Manila Service Centre, a world-first on a King Air 350.  Another was done in tandem at the company’s Cairns facility where the design and modification approval was developed by its in-house design engineering team, Hawker said.

The Singapore Service Centre also recently completed the successful installation of three Garmin G1000 systems into King Air B200s – the first in Asia. Demand for more upgrades is expected to continue to grow across the company’s network, Hawker said.

Hawker Pacifc is the authorised dealer and installer for several leading avionics providers, including Rockwell Collins, Honeywell and Garmin.
