Regional Express (Rex) pilots have voted to take industrial action that could include four hour work stoppages unless the airline ups its contract offer.
Negotiations broke down earlier this month after nearly 14 months of talks, and the Australian Federation of Air Pilots said its officials would meet this week to discuss plans for industrial action if the carrier continues to hold its line.
The action could include stop-work meetings of up to four hours, refusal to accept aircraft with minimum equipment lists, sticking to strict time for sign-on duty, and tinkering of fuel, The Australian reported.
Union officials say their pay demands are fair and would still leave the airline paying less than competitor QantasLink.
