GE to sponsor aviation Hall of Fame

written by australianaviation.com.au | March 16, 2012

GE has lent its support as a founding partner of the nascent Australian Aviation Hall of Fame.

Established in 2010, the Hall will recognise individuals and organisations that have made an important contribution to civil aviation both in Australia and around the world. Plans are afloat to build a physical Hall in Wagga Wagga by 2015, with an initial induction ceremony scheduled later this year.

“In many ways Australians were the pioneers of civil aviation,” Max York, GE Australia’s managing director for aviation, said in announcing the company’s support for the project. “They epitomise innovation and progress for this vital industry, and the Hall of Fame is an ideal vehicle to recognise this.”

More information on the Hall of Fame can be found on its website.
