The first wing for the A350 XWB has arrived at Airbus’s final assembly line in Toulouse, France.

The wing will form part of a static test airframe currently under construction. At 32 metres long and six metres wide, it is the largest single aviation part made from carbon fibre composite materials, Airbus says.

Airbus announced in July that it would push back expected first deliveries of the A350 to late 2014 due to a problem with wing drilling.
