MyJet to upgrade Bendigo facility

written by australianaviation.com.au | September 7, 2012

Bendigo-based business charter operator MyJet will build a new hangar as part of a $1.5 million investment at Bendigo Airport.

The investment is expected to create six new jobs and comes on the heels of a $5 million upgrade of the airport’s critical infrastructure, including its main north-south runway.

MyJet was founded to reduce commuting times to Melbourne but also operates charter services elsewhere in Australia, according to its website.

“Businesses in the region can now fly interstate without having to drive to Melbourne to board a commercial flight. These services will help make Bendigo a more attractive place to invest and do business,” Victorian Aviation Minister Gordon Rich-Phillips said in a statement. “MyJet’s new hangar will also help build capacity and is the latest of recently announced development projects for Bendigo.”
