Aviation Capital Services, a subsidiary of State Corporation Russian Technologies (Rostech) has announced commitments for 35 737 MAX aircraft, representing the first order for the MAX series from Russia.

The aircraft, valued at US$3 billion at current list prices, will be placed with Aviation Capital Services for onward leasing to Russian airlines, which will operate the new aircraft domestically and internationally.

The order coincides with a deal between Boeing and Rostech to expand collaboration in titanium procurement and technology development.  The two companies, which have been working together for a number of years, are also looking to expand their co-operation in other areas of commercial aviation.
