7,000th Beechcraft King Air delivered

Hawker Beechcraft has delivered the 7,000th King Air twin turboprop since production began in 1964.

The 350i-model aircraft is being delivered to a customer in the United States where it joins a North American fleet of more than 3,300 in current service.

“The King Air is still king,” said Shawn Vick,vice president customers for Hawker Beechcraft. “We delivered the 5,000th King Air in 1996, the 6,000th in 2005 and now we’ve reached 7,000”.

There are 420 King Airs in service in the Asia Pacific region, equating to seven per cent of the world’s fleet of nearly 6,000 aircraft.
