Philippine Airlines is adding extra seats to Darwin and Brisbane for the school holiday period through the use of larger aircraft.
The airline will replace Airbus A320 aircraft on its thrice weekly Manila-Darwin-Brisbane service with an Airbus A321 between December 8 2014 and January 16 2015, according to updates in Global Distribution Systems.
PR221 departs Manila at 2155 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays and stops for an hour in Darwin before continuing onto Brisbane.
The return service, PR 222, leaves Brisbane at 1040 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, and also transits in Darwin before continuing onwards to the Philippine capital.
Philippine Airlines’ A321s are fitted with 199 seats in a two-class configuration, while its A320s have either 150 or 156 seats, according to the airline’s website.
The Philippine flag carrier also flies to Melbourne and Sydney direct from Manila.
