Singapore Airshow 2016 in pictures

There were plenty of aircraft on static display and events around the exhibition centre to spark interest at the 2016 Singapore Airshow. Here is a sample of what caught Australian Aviation‘s eye during the week-long event.

First, a look at Scoot’s Boeing 787-9 9V-OJF.

And for the foodies, Scoot unveiled the newest dish on its menu, a dry laksa.

Boeing Commercial Airplanes vice president of marketing Randy Tinseth wanted to join in on the Scoot action, donning a Scoot polo for a joint briefing with Scoot chief executive Campbell Wilson.

Elsewhere in the exhibition hall, it was standing room only as Airbus chief operating officer for customers John Leahy and chief executive Fabrice Bregier spoke about Airbus’s good start to 2016.

Garuda Indonesia, which had its five-star Skytrax rating renewed at the Singapore Airshow, had its new business class seat for its A330s on hand for people to try.

Heading back out to the static display, there were not one but two A350-900 – Airbus’s F-WWCF and Qatar Airways’ A7-ALG.

On the military side, there was a US Air Force C-17.

Among the smaller commercial aircraft manufacturers with a presence at the airshow, there was a Sukhoi SSJ100 from Russia-based Yakutia Air, RA-89012.
