UAE-based low-cost carrier Air Arabia has welcomed the delivery of one Airbus A321-200LR aircraft, on long-term lease from US aircraft lessor Air Lease Corporation.

The aircraft, a longer-range variant of the Airbus A321-200neo, is powered by CFM International LEAP-1A32 engines, according to ALC, and is the final aircraft in a six-aircraft lease arrangement made between ALC and Air Arabia.

“We are pleased to deliver our sixth new Airbus A321-200neo LR aircraft to Air Arabia,” said Steven Udvar-Házy, executive chairman of Air Lease Corporation.

“ALC’s very first Airbus long-range A321neo delivered in April 2019 to Air Arabia and we have been delighted to see our new-technology A321neos contribute to the airline’s excellent service and growing operations.”

Air Arabia took delivery of its first of six ALC-leased A321LRs in 2019.

The jets seat a total of 215 passengers, which can be flown from the airline’s UAE hub to destinations over 3,500 kilometres away, including Kenya, Ukraine and Bangladesh.
