Loganair secures top safety accreditation, enhancing partnership opportunities

Loganair, the United Kingdom’s largest regional airline, has recently achieved a significant milestone by obtaining the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) registration. This accomplishment is a clear indication of Loganair’s steadfast dedication to maintaining the highest safety standards in alignment with the most rigorous internationally recognized criteria. The IOSA registration is globally acknowledged as the premier benchmark for airline safety. Loganair underwent an extensive evaluation of its management systems and operational procedures covering nine key areas, including flight operations, maintenance, engineering, and ground operations, to secure this prestigious accreditation.

The attainment of the IOSA registration not only reaffirms Loganair’s commitment to safety but also opens up new avenues for the airline to form partnerships with a broader array of international airlines. Specifically, it enhances Loganair’s ability to engage in code-sharing agreements, thereby expanding the range of options available to its customers.

Peter Simpson, Loganair’s Executive Chairman, expressed his pride in achieving this accolade, highlighting the collective effort and dedication of various teams within the airline. “Achieving IOSA registration represents a significant milestone for Loganair, and is a testament to the hard work and dedication of multiple teams across the airline,” he stated. Simpson further emphasized the airline’s prioritization of safety, noting, “The safety of our customers and crew is always our top priority at every level of our business, and we are incredibly proud to see that commitment recognised by a global standard in the aviation industry.” This registration underscores Loganair’s ongoing commitment to upholding the highest safety standards, ensuring the well-being of its passengers and crew while enhancing its competitiveness and reputation in the global aviation market.
