Vietjet set to revolutionise its fleet with new A330neo order

Vietjet has officially launched a new direct flight route connecting Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam with Vientiane, the capital of Laos. This development is anticipated to foster enhanced economic, tourism, and cultural ties between the two neighboring nations.

The opening ceremony saw the participation of Mr. Souvannaseng Amphay, Deputy Consul General of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Ho Chi Minh City. He was joined by senior officials from the Department of Civil Aviation of Laos, representatives from airports, Lao Airlines, locals, and tourists, all of whom extended their congratulations for the inauguration of this new air link.

Scheduled to operate four return flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, the new service offers a swift journey time of just 1 hour and 45 minutes to reach Vientiane, also known as the “Land of a Million Elephants.”

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, the Vice President of Vietjet, expressed his views on the strategic significance of this new route. “The route connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Vientiane not only shortens the travel time between Vietnam and Laos but also expands Vientiane’s connections to destinations in the region and the world via Vietjet’s international flight network,” he said.

Vientiane is highlighted as the political and economic hub of Laos, featuring a rich blend of scenic beauty, historical charm, and cultural landmarks, including temples, pagodas, and festivals. On the other end, Ho Chi Minh City is underscored as Vietnam’s key economic, cultural, and tourist hub, known for its unique culture, energetic lifestyle, and extensive global connectivity.

Vietjet invites travelers to explore these vibrant cities, offering an enjoyable flying experience with modern aircraft, professional and friendly crews, and a range of high-quality service products. Passengers can also delight in the tastes of Vietnamese traditional cuisine, including Banh mi and Pho Thin, alongside international dishes during their flight.
