Delta Airlines expands Munich-US connections with new flights to New York

Delta Airlines, a major global airline and one of Munich Airport’s earliest customers, has introduced a new service from Munich to John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) in New York.

The flights operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, complementing Delta’s existing connections from Munich to Atlanta and Detroit.

The addition of the New York route comes in response to the high passenger demand for flights to the United States.

The new flights will be operated using a Boeing 767-300/400, offering customers the latest generation of seats across various classes.
The aircraft features 156 Economy seats, 22 seats in DeltaOne (Business Class), 20 seats in Premium Economy Class, and 28 seats in ComfortPlus Class, which provides additional legroom in an Economy seating arrangement.

Passengers can also enjoy the DeltaStudios in-flight entertainment program, one of the most modern systems available, with personal screens at every seat.

Jost Lammers, CEO of Munich Airport, expressed his delight at Delta Airlines’ decision to include New York as a new destination, stating, “We are delighted that Delta Airlines is adding New York as a new destination to its range of flights.

This means that three airlines are now taking off from Munich Airport with a total of 24 weekly departures to the two New York airports John F. Kennedy and Newark.

This brings Bavaria and the US East Coast even closer together – good news for business travelers, tourism, and private travels.”

To celebrate the inaugural flight to New York, Jost Lammers and Matteo Curcio, Delta Airlines Senior Vice President Europe, Middle East, Africa, India, cut a cream cake at the gate, which was then distributed to the passengers.
