Air Astana Group signs lease for seven Airbus A321neo LR aircraft

Air Astana Group, Central Asia’s largest airline group, has announced a new agreement to lease seven Airbus A321neo LR aircraft from Air Lease Corporation.

The agreement, signed on 26 July 2024, follows board approval of the transaction on 25 July 2024.

Deliveries of the new aircraft are scheduled to begin in 2026.

This lease agreement supports Air Astana Group’s plans to expand its fleet to 80 aircraft by the end of 2028.

The Group currently operates a fleet of 54 aircraft split between its full-service airline, Air Astana, and its low-cost carrier, FlyArystan.

Air Astana Group provides scheduled, point-to-point and transit air travel and cargo services on domestic, regional and international routes across Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Far East, the Middle East, India and Europe.

The company has received multiple industry awards, including being named Best Airline in Central Asia & CIS by SkyTrax twelve times.

Air Astana Group is listed on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange, Astana International Exchange and London Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol AIRA.
