Embraer Services & Support has announced several new initiatives to expand its global services network, aiming to accelerate growth and consolidate its position as a key driver for the company’s future.
The business unit revealed plans for new MRO facilities, expansion of its full-flight simulator network, growth of its Pool Program, updates to its AHEAD (Aircraft Health Analysis and Diagnosis) platform, and connectivity solutions for E-Jets.
Carlos Naufel, President and CEO of Embraer Services & Support, said the unit has reached a record backlog of US$3.1 billion in 2024.
“Embraer Services & Support aims to continue expanding its global footprint, strengthening its position as a growth driver for Embraer,” Mr Naufel said.
Key announcements include:
1. MRO expansion: The company has doubled its maintenance capacity for Executive Jets in the United States with new facilities in Dallas Love Field, Cleveland, and Sanford. It also plans to double capacity in Le Bourget, France.
2. Simulator network growth: Three new Commercial Aviation simulators will be opened worldwide, with locations to be announced. Two new Executive Jets simulators are also planned.
3. Pool Program growth: Over 180 E-Jets have joined the program since 2023, which now supports 66 airlines globally.
4. AHEAD platform updates: Enhancements include improvements to repeater function, tracking of exceedance and adverse events, and a new fuel consumption module.
5. E-Jets connectivity: More than 30 E-Jets are receiving Wi-Fi connectivity solutions.
Embraer has delivered over 9,000 aircraft since its founding in 1969. The company claims that on average, an Embraer-manufactured aircraft takes off every 10 seconds somewhere in the world, transporting over 145 million passengers annually.
