Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, has announced the upcoming delivery of its third and fourth Embraer E190-E2 aircraft in September and October 2024.
Key points:
Two new destinations added to Scoot’s network:
- Kertajati (Greater Bandung), Indonesia – twice-weekly flights from 28 September 2024
- Malacca, Malaysia – five-times weekly flights from 23 October 2024
Increased flight frequencies to existing destinations:
- Pekanbaru: Additional twice-weekly flights
- Balikpapan and Makassar: Increased from three to four-times weekly
- Davao: Increased from seven to nine-times weekly
- Vientiane: Increased from three to four-times weekly
By October 2024, Scoot will operate:
- 78 weekly flights to Indonesia
- 115 weekly flights to Malaysia
Scoot’s network will expand to 72 destinations
Leslie Thng, Scoot’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “We remain confident in the demand for air travel and invite our customers to ‘Jalan-Jalan’ and explore new destinations with their ‘Travel Kakis’, immerse themselves in local cultures and create more memorable travel experiences with us.”
The expansion reinforces Singapore’s status as a regional air hub and provides more direct connections to non-metro cities across Southeast Asia.
Flights to Kertajati and Malacca are now available for booking, with all-in Economy class sale fares starting from SGD92 and SGD69 respectively, inclusive of taxes.
