Embraer announces plans for new aircraft maintenance facility in Texas

written by Newsdesk | September 25, 2024

Embraer has revealed plans to expand its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services network in the United States by opening a new service center in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer will establish the facility at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport to support its growing fleet of E-Jets in the country.

Carlos Naufel, President and CEO of Embraer Services & Support, said the expansion would significantly increase the company’s capacity to serve E-Jets customers in North America.

“This expansion will significantly increase the capacity, capability, and footprint of our services network by providing world-class support to our customers and the growing fleet of E-Jets in North America,” Mr Naufel said.

Embraer expects to begin operations in an existing hangar in the first quarter of 2025, while constructing a second hangar slated for completion by 2027.

The company is partnering with the City of Fort Worth, Denton County and the State of Texas on the project, which is subject to approval of certain proposed incentives by local government authorities.

The new facility will join Embraer’s global network of 80 authorized centers and 12 owned service centers.

Mr Naufel said the investment is part of Embraer’s growth strategy in the United States.

The Fort Worth service center is expected to considerably increase Embraer’s capacity to service E-Jets customers in the US market.
