Kazakhstan’s national carrier Air Astana has unveiled a significant expansion of its international network for the winter season.
The airline has launched new direct flights between Atyrau and Dubai, operating twice weekly.
Flights from Almaty to Dubai have increased to eleven times weekly, while Astana to Dubai services will operate nine times per week.
New twice-weekly services will commence between Astana and Abu Dhabi in late October, followed by Almaty to Abu Dhabi flights in December.
The carrier has strengthened its Saudi Arabian network with new twice-weekly flights from Almaty to Medina, complementing existing Jeddah services.
A weekly service from Shymkent to Jeddah has begun operating, with an additional Shymkent to Medina route planned for later in the season.
In Southeast Asia, Air Astana has introduced a thrice-weekly service from Astana to Phuket, adding to its eleven weekly flights from Almaty to the Thai resort island.
The airline has launched five weekly flights from Almaty to Phu Quoc in Vietnam and resumed seasonal services to the Maldives.
Chinese routes have been restored with twice-weekly flights between Astana and Urumqi, while maintaining four weekly services from Almaty to Urumqi.
South Korean connections have expanded with three weekly flights between Astana and Seoul, alongside five weekly services from Almaty.
European services include five weekly flights from Astana to Frankfurt and twice-weekly direct services from Almaty to London.
The winter schedule encompasses 40 international and 13 domestic routes, including charter operations.
Air Astana’s route expansion comes as Kazakhstan citizens can now travel visa-free to China, Vietnam and Thailand.
