Air Charter Service has recorded its strongest performance in Greater China with significant growth across its Shanghai and Hong Kong operations.
The aircraft charter specialist reported an 18 per cent revenue increase in Hong Kong, while its Shanghai office saw charter numbers surge 40 per cent in 2024.
The company’s growth followed a strategic decision to separate its Greater China operations from other Asia-Pacific markets.
“This year has seen the growth plans that we put in place last year really start to pay dividends,” Air Charter Service CEO Justin Bowman said.
The company has built a team of nearly 50 people across the region under the leadership of James Royds-Jones and Wanny Wu.
“We opened our first Greater China operation 16 years ago, here in Hong Kong and have grown our presence substantially in that time, to now include our two thriving Mainland China offices in Beijing and Shanghai,” Regional Director James Royds-Jones said.
Deputy Regional Director Wanny Wu attributed Shanghai’s record performance to focused team building efforts.
“We have been focussing on building the strongest and most experienced team here in Shanghai, and the expansion has obviously worked well, taking the Shanghai office to new heights over this past year,” Wu said.
