Air New Zealand transforms flights for Christmas travellers crossing time zones

written by Newsdesk | December 2, 2024

Air New Zealand has launched a new Christmas campaign highlighting how its crew brings festive magic to passengers who would otherwise miss December 25 due to international time differences.

The airline’s “Let the Magic Find You This Christmas” campaign features cabin crew creating an onboard Christmas celebration for a young passenger traveling to New Zealand on December 24.

“Our flight attendants are known around the world for going above and beyond to create incredible experiences onboard every day,” said Grace Blewitt, Air New Zealand Head of Brand.

The airline is rolling out special holiday touches across its fleet in December, including festive headrest covers and Christmas-themed tray mats on select flights.

Passengers will be offered red, green and limited edition candy cane flavoured lollies on all flights.

Koru Hour flights will feature additional treats including pretzel and candy cane bark alongside premium wines.

Blewitt said the initiative aims to help passengers who “lose” a day while flying long-haul to New Zealand.

“At Air New Zealand we love creating magical moments onboard and this campaign demonstrates that commitment to delivering something special for our customers,” she said.

The airline plans to announce another festive initiative inspired by the campaign later in December.

“We can’t wait to share one more festive foray this December inspired by the campaign – stay tuned for the holiday cheer,” Blewitt said.
