American Airlines unveils new seasonal menu and loyalty perks

American Airlines has introduced a refreshed selection of in-flight and lounge offerings for spring, featuring expanded dining options and the ability for AAdvantage members to use miles for onboard food and beverage purchases.

New In-Flight Dining Options

Starting 12 March 2025, passengers on domestic premium cabin flights will have access to an updated breakfast menu, including:
– Biscuit and chicken sausage gravy with scrambled eggs
– White cheddar and Monterey Jack omelette with chicken sausage and wedge potatoes
– Smothered veggie and cheese frittata with tomato wedges and seasoned potatoes
– Swiss and veggie omelette with Italian chicken sausage
– Three-cheese omelette with wedge potatoes

Additionally, following a successful trial at Chicago O’Hare International Airport, sliders and fries will be available for preorder on short-haul domestic flights over 900 miles.

Enhanced Lounge Offerings

American’s Admirals Club lounges in the U.S. and Canada will feature regionally inspired menus, with selections such as:
– Miami: Build-your-own tacos with spicy chicken and roasted vegetables
– Dallas-Fort Worth: Argentine beef empanada with red pepper chimichurri
– Los Angeles: Orange peel tempura chicken
– Boston: Honey miso shrimp with vegetable yakisoba

Lounge guests will also have access to a new selection of premium spirits, including Casamigos Añejo Tequila, Tequila Ocho Reposado, and St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur. A rotating mocktail selection, starting with the Peachy Keen, will also be available.

AAdvantage Miles for Onboard Purchases

From 19 March 2025, AAdvantage members will be able to use their miles to purchase food and beverages during eligible flights, complementing existing options such as using miles for Admirals Club day passes.

Heather Garboden, Chief Customer Officer at American Airlines, highlighted the airline’s seasonal focus.

“As spring travel heats up, our customers are eager to see new food and drinks across our menus. The season brings cravings for fresh fruits, vegetables, and classic comfort dishes like our new sliders and fries,” she said.

Premium Beverage Additions

American Airlines is expanding its onboard wine selection, featuring:
– Still Gin
– Horse Soldier Bourbon
– Carolan’s Irish Cream
– Fever-Tree Espresso Martini Mix

With these updates, the airline continues its commitment to enhancing the passenger experience through a diverse selection of meals, beverages, and expanded loyalty benefits.
