Delta expands Shake Shack partnership with new routes and promotions

written by Newsdesk | March 10, 2025

Delta Air Lines has announced an expansion of its partnership with Shake Shack, bringing its popular onboard cheeseburgers to additional First Class routes. Starting 4 March 2025, Shake Shack’s signature cheeseburgers will be available on flights over 900 miles departing from Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York-LaGuardia, and Seattle.

The airline first introduced the offering on flights from Boston in late 2024, where it quickly became a customer favourite. The meal includes a 100% Angus beef patty with cheese on a toasted potato bun, served alongside chips, a Caesar salad, and a dark chocolate brownie. Customers can customise their meal with lettuce, tomato, and Shake Shack’s signature ShackSauce, all served on the side.

Stephanie Laster, Managing Director of Onboard Service at Delta, highlighted the strong customer response.

“Customers are raving about the Shake Shack experience onboard our flights after serving more than 10,000 burgers out of Boston since launching in December,” she said. “This is part of our work to partner with brands our customers already know and love while continuing to raise the bar for the in-flight experience.”

To celebrate the expansion, Delta is teaming up with Shake Shack and Uber Eats for a special promotion. SkyMiles members who joined the Delta x Uber waitlist, or sign up by 6 March, will receive a ‘buy one, get one free’ offer for a ShackBurger via Uber Eats. The promotion will be available until 14 March 2025.

Delta has also announced a range of seasonal updates across all cabins as part of its centennial celebrations. Passengers in First Class will receive a limited-edition Biscoff Sandwich cookie, while Main Cabin and Comfort+ customers will have access to special centennial packaging for Biscoff cookies and Sweetwater 420 Extra Pale Ale.

First Class and Delta One passengers will also benefit from refreshed special meals tailored to dietary preferences. Laster noted Delta’s commitment to inclusive dining options.

“Every customer should feel a sense of belonging when traveling with us – regardless of dietary restrictions or preferences,” she said.

Additionally, Delta is expanding the availability of Jon & Vinny’s braised meatballs with Bianco DiNapoli marinara, which has been a customer favourite since its introduction in 2017. Previously available only on flights from Los Angeles, the dish is now offered on select First Class routes across the West and Southwest, as well as Delta One routes from several U.S. cities.

Delta is enhancing its wine selection, introducing Champagne Taittinger in Delta One on international flights and expanding its range of premium wines, including Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon and Bodegas Riojanas Vina Albina Reserva Rioja. The airline is also launching a selection of non-alcoholic beverages, including Q Hibiscus Ginger Beer and Lyre’s Amalfi Italian Spritz, for a limited time on select routes.

As Delta continues to refine its onboard offerings, additional menu expansions and beverage selections are expected in the coming months.
