Qatar Airways Group has announced its strongest financial performance in company history, with profits reaching QAR7.85 billion (US$2.15 billion) in the 2024-25 fiscal year.
The results represent an increase of more than QAR1.7 billion (US$500 million) compared to the previous year, marking a 28 per cent growth in profit.
The group’s performance encompasses its airline operations, cargo division, catering services and Qatar Duty Free businesses.
Qatar Airways Cargo delivered particularly strong results, recording 17 per cent revenue growth and achieving its best financial performance since the COVID period.
The cargo division’s success was attributed to agility in adapting to market conditions, investment in digitalisation, data-driven analyses and reliability standards.
Qatar Airways Group chief executive Badr Mohammed Al-Meer credited the company’s renewed Qatar Airways 2.0 strategy with driving the record-breaking performance.
“These record-breaking results are a testament to the hard work, skill and dedication of teams across all of Qatar Airways Group,” he said.
“I know that none of the outstanding results we’re announcing today would be possible without our people – more than 55,000 of them across the globe – and it’s our focus on fostering that talent, which has been a core focus of our Qatar Airways 2.0 strategy.”
Al-Meer highlighted the group’s strategic partnerships as key to maintaining agility amid changing global conditions.
“We have also successfully implemented strategic partnerships throughout the industry, in order for the Group to remain agile in the face of ever-shifting world events, whether political, economic or environmental,” he said.

Qatar Airways became the first global airline and first in the Middle East and North Africa region to install Starlink high-speed WiFi on its Boeing 777 fleet.
The airline acquired a 25 per cent minority stake in Virgin Australia and a 25 per cent stake in South African regional airline Airlink during the period.
Qatar Airways also introduced conversational artificial intelligence into its digital cabin crew system, Sama, marking another technological advancement.
The group signed various technical memorandums of understanding aimed at future-proofing and diversifying the business while supporting Qatar National Vision 2030 objectives.
Qatar Airways recently placed significant aircraft and engine orders to maintain its modern fleet at the forefront of commercial aviation technology.
The airline continues to offer services including the award-winning Qsuite business class product, fine dining options and complimentary Starlink internet connectivity for all passengers.
