Solomons' Dash 8.

Solomons Airlines has taken delivery of a Dash 8-100 aircraft for use on its domestic network.

The aircraft is being ferried from Athens, where it previously operated around the Greek islands, to Honiara in a trip that is expected to take between five and seven days.  The introduction of the Dash 8 will play an important role in the up-skilling of Solomon Islanders as the airline implements a new strategy to expand its operations and improves its operating systems.

Solomons also operates an Airbus A320 on international routes, and this year celebrates 50 of operations.
