Indonesia's Lion Air Group has re-suspended all domestic and international flights just days after reinstating them, blaming passenger non-compliance with COVID-19 policies.
In a statement released Tuesday, Qatar chief Akbar Al Baker claimed the airline to have repatriated 1.8 million individuals worldwide since the beginning of the outbreak.
The flag carrier had originally announced plans to acquire Air Transat, the country's third largest airline, in May 2019. An offer was subsequently made at C$13 per share, or an all-cash bid of C$520 million.
The flag carrier stated 29 May that it had resumed scheduled services to all destinations within the Southeast Asian nation, which has reported less than 300 cases of the virus and no deaths.
