Qantas leads June OTP
Qantas had the highest rate of on time departures during June according to the latest report on on-time performance from the Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics (BITRE). Asian traffic continues to rise
Passenger traffic in the Asia Pacific region during the month of June continued to surge, according to new data released from the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA). Azerbaijan Airlines orders 767s
Azerbaijan Airlines has ordered one Boeing 767-300ER and two 767 Freighters. The order replaces a previous order for two 737NGs.
Alaska Air orders additional 737s
Alaska Airlines has exercised options on two 737-800s, an order which had previously been attributed to an undisclosed customer. Alaska already operates 116 737-700s, -800s and -900s.
AIPA makes Jetstar pilots election issue
The Australian and International Pilots Association (AIPA) has written to the Labor, Liberal and Greens parties seeking an election commitment that they will stop Jetstar from using its overseas operations to sidestep Australian pay and conditions for pilots. Germania ups A319 fleet
Berlin-based Germania Airlines has ordered five A319s, which will be delivered from 2011. The aircraft will be powered by CFM56 engines.
