Ex-RAAF 707 to become museum piece
A former RAAF 707 tanker has been broken up at RAAF Richmond is preparation for its cockpit and forward fuselage to be restored for display at the RAAF Museum at Point Cook near Melbourne. QantasLink has announced that it is adding capacity from Melbourne to Mildura, Launceston and Devonport from February 1 as a result of the delivery of its 17th Bombardier Q400, which will be based in Melbourne. Air Algerie orders four ATR 72s
ATR announced on December 7 that Air Algerie has ordered four ATR 72-500s, valued at US$82m (A$89.8m) at list prices. Delivery of the four aircraft will take place during 2010, and they will join eight other ATR 72s in service with the airline.
New CEO for CTC New Zealand
Ian Calvert has been appointed the new CEO of CTC Aviation Training New Zealand. Calvert has been with CTC since 2003, and has been acting CEO since May following the retirement of John Jones.
