Pilot seminar to be held in Sydney
A leading international flight school with a name most will recall from the 1970s will host a pilot training seminar in Sydney on September 27. The free seminar, run by the US-based Pan Am International Flight Academy and flight simulator company Flight Experience, will be held at the National Maritime Museum in Sydney’s Darling Harbour.

RAAF completes fourth Iraq munitions delivery flight
A 36SQN C-17 Globemaster has completed the RAAF’s fourth air shipment of military stores to Erbil in northern Iraq. The shipment was delivered without incident on September 16 and the aircraft safely returned to Al Minhad Air Base in the UAE. RAAA scholarship winners for 2014 announced
The Regional Aviation Association of Australia (RAAA) has announced the six recipients of its 2014 scholarships. RAAA’s Ansett Aviation Training scholarships were awarded to Alexis Herzog from Airline Academy of Australia and Danica Henderson from Australian Airline Pilot Academy. SriLankan and Qantas enter codeshare agreement
SriLankan Airlines has inked a codeshare partnership with Qantas over flights between the Colombo and Australia, its fifth codeshare deal with a oneworld carrier, having joined the global alliance in April 2014. Qantas operates last 767 int’l flight as fleet winds down
Qantas has retired one more Boeing 767 and withdrawn the aircraft from international services as part of its fleet renewal program.
