Airbus A330 gains weight
Airbus is offering A330 customers an increased maximum take-off weight (MTOW) option to extend range and payload, which the manufacturer says will open up more nonstop routes between Asia and Europe. The A330-300’s MTOW will be increased from the current 235 tonnes to 242 tonnes, enabling range to be extended by 500nm through the activation
Qantas becomes launch customer for Airbus iPad flight bag
Qantas has become a launch customer for Airbus’s iPad cockpit applications. The electronic flight bag (EFB) will be used aboard all Airbus aircraft in the Qantas fleet. C-130H retired from service
Thirty-four years of operational service have come to end for the C-130H, with the retirement of the aircraft from active service at a formal ceremony at RAAF Base Richmond on November 30. Last Orion welcomed home from Middle East
The last RAAF AP-3C Orion on operational duty in the Middle East area of operations has been welcomed home to Australia.
