Boeing is set to end production of the 747 aircraft, with Atlas Air to receive the last delivery of Boeing 747-8F later this year when the final production stage is completed, marking the end of an era in the aviation industry.

It comes as the US marked the occasion by releasing incredible new images showing aircraft from the two countries flying together in formation.

Boom is promising significantly shorter flight times than current commercial aviation, with its Overture jets capable of flying at supersonic speeds of up to Mach 1.7 over water.

The airline has also released figures showing another successful month in their steady climb back to pre-pandemic levels.

Delivery of the Dreamliner was initially halted in late 2020, before being resumed in early 2022 and halted again at the end of May 2021 at the request of the FAA due to quality problems.

The defence giant said the G/ATOR device successfully tracked multiple missile threats simultaneously, tracking each target after launch.
