Brumby teams with Aveo for avionics

written by WOFA | September 27, 2009

AveoEngineering has partnered with Brumby Aircraft Australia to introduce its DigitalFlightDeck touch-screen avionics suite to the general aviation market.

Under its partnership, Aveo will integrate the first two modules of the DigitalFlightDeck into production models of the Brumby light sport aircraft. The modules include Aveo’s DataHUD, which mounts on the glareshield to provide real time data of aircraft altitude, speed, heading/course, DME, VSI, and Waypoint to assist the pilot and flight instructor during takeoff and approach, simplifying the instrument scan, while the AveoFliteControl command module features a myriad of pilot-assisting information screens such as real-time aircraft weight and C.G., g-force recording, icing conditions warning and systems control/status, IAT, OAT, flight log, flight timers, remote tire pressure monitoring, electrical systems monitoring, on-screen metric-english units converter, and optional VHF touchscreen radio mode.

Paul Goard, managing director of Brumby Aircraft Australia said “We are very excited to have the Aveo equipment in our range of aircraft and their service has been outstanding. We are pleased with the quality of components and look forward to future partnership with Aveo Australia.”

AveoEngineering is headquartered in Slovakia, and produces a number of LED lighting kits for GA aircraft. Its local affiliate, AveoAustralia, is currently pursuing a number of partnerships with local aircraft manufacturers for its avionics and LED solutions.
