Airlines prepare to move at LHR

written by WOFA | October 26, 2009

Some oneworld carriers and Malaysia Airlines are preparing to move terminals at London’s Heathrow airport.

From October 29, British Airways’s and Qantas’s services to and from Australia at Heathrow will move from Terminal 4 to Terminal 3, ending a project to co-locate all oneworld members in the same terminal at Heathrow. Most other oneworld carriers have either already served Terminal 3 or moved their flights there recently, while the majority of BA’s flights will still be operated from Terminal 5.

On the same day, Malaysia Airlines will move its London service from Terminal 3 to Terminal 4, which is being redeveloped by airport operator BAA. The terminal features a new Golden Lounge and ticket office while MAS will have Gate 6 dedicated to its use.
