China Southern ups Christmas/New Year flights

written by WOFA | October 14, 2009

China Southern Airlines has announced that it will increase its frequencies to Melbourne and Sydney during the peak December-February season.

From December 2 to February 20, CZ will operate daily departures from Sydney to Guangzhou. Meanwhile, the airline will operate three-times weekly direct Guangzhou-Melbourne services from October 26 to March 25, departing on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

“Demand for travel to and within China is continuing to grow from both Sydney and Melbourne, and these changes meet that demand from both cities,” said James Liu, regional manager Australia for China Southern Airlines.

“Our new schedules for the northern winter period are designed to accommodate the growth in tourist and business traffic from Australia, as well as the seasonal peak in travel by members of the Chinese community,” Liu added.
