Hawker Beechcraft Company has announced that it is taking pre-orders for an upgrade package on the Beechcraft 1900D Airliner which will be available from the third quarter of 2010.

The upgrade allows for the replacement of legacy avionics with a Rockwell Collins ProLine 21 Integrated Display System which helps to reduce weight and increase reliability. The new equipment is covered by a two year warranty from Rockwell Collins.

“We are delighted to offer this significant upgrade to our 1900D operators to support the needs of regional and corporate passengers worldwide,” said Christi Tannahill, vice president, Hawker Beechcraft Global Customer Service and Support. “Driven by operator input, the system was designed with an emphasis on improving reliability and lowering operating costs.”
