747-8F emerges from paintshop

written by WOFA | November 19, 2009

K64810-03The first 747-8 Freighter emerged from the paint hangar at Boeing’s Everett facility on the night of November 17 sporting a special ‘light’ corporate livery.

The livery, which Boeing says saves time and expense compared to the full Boeing house colours (and is similar to that on 787 test aircraft ZA005), features a white fuselage with blue accents, an oversized figure ‘8’ on the tail and ‘747-8’ on the belly. After flight test this aircraft will be refurbished and repainted before delivery to a customer.

The 747-8F is expected to fly early in the New Year.
