Philippine Airlines took delivery of its first Boeing 777-300ER on November 18, with the new aircraft leased from GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS).
The delivery flight of the 777 was loaded with supplies from a number of US non-government organisations and Boeing to assist with relief efforts for residents devastated by floods in the Philippines as a result of Typhoon Ketsana.
PAL will lease another 777, while it also has four others ordered directly from Boeing.
