More milestones for Vigilare

written by WOFA | November 18, 2009

Boeing has announced it has achieved two major milestones for its Vigilare C3 system it has developed for the ADF.

The company says the system, currently being installed at the Northern Regional Operations Centre (NorthROC) at RAAF Tindal in the NT and soon to be rolled out at EastROC at RAAF Williamtown, completed its first data transmission with an RAAF F/A-18 Hornet using Link 16 datalinks, and that it also successfully tested its unique record and replay feature.

The system’s record and replay capability offers improved operator training and mission planning by allowing operators to replay real and simulated scenarios multiple times to multiple operator consoles simultaneously, separately or concurrently with the active NC3S system.

Boeing has developed the Vigilare for the overseas market and is marketing it as NC3S to potential foreign buyers including the UAE.
