Qantas recorded the highest percentage of domestic on time departures during October, according to a recently released report from BITRE.
During the month, 86.4 per cent of Qantas’s flights departed on time, followed by Virgin Blue at 84.7 per cent, Jetstar at 77.2 per cent and Tiger Airways at 74.2 per cent. The regional airlines were led by Skywest at 89.1 per cent, followed by QantasLink at 88.9 per cent and Regional Express at 82.8 per cent. Overall, the industry averaged an on time departure rate of 84.6 per cent.
Tiger had the highest rate of cancellations at 2.5 per cent, followed by Jetstar at 1.7 per cent, Virgin Blue at 1.6 per cent and Qantas at 0.5 per cent. The average rate across the industry was 0.9 per cent.
