written by WOFA | November 17, 2009

Qantas has announced that it will operate three times weekly direct services between Darwin and Canberra from February 1 2010.

“We are … certain that this new service will further enable tourism development opportunities between the two cities,” said Rob Gurney, Qantas Group executive commercial.

“The new services are also timed to enable customers travelling on the Darwin-Canberra sector to connect with Qantas’s Canberra-Melbourne services.”

The services will be operated by 168-seat Boeing 737-800s.
