Jetstar launches Sydney-Nadi services

written by WOFA | December 10, 2009

Jetstar will commence services on the Sydney-Nadi route from March 29, putting it in competition with V Australia and Air Pacific.

The airline has announced that it will operate on the route four times weekly using 177-seat Airbus A320s, with Jetsaver Light fares starting from $229 one way.

“We expect that Jetstar’s low fares and holiday packages, combined with Fiji’s great appeal and renowned hospitality, to present a compelling proposition for Australian holidaymakers, and represents a welcome addition to Jetstar’s expanding international flight network,” said CEO Bruce Buchanan.

The services come months after Jetstar attempted to thwart V Australia’s plans to operate daily services to Nadi by launching a competing application with the International Air Services Commission to operate daily services with an Airbus A321. V Australia was later granted the bulk of capacity, and will commence daily services on December 18.
