V Australia’s first direct service on the Melbourne-Los Angeles departed on December 1, while the airline is also preparing to operate its first service from Melbourne to Phuket on December 3.
“We are delighted to welcome V Australia to Melbourne,” Melbourne Airport CEO Chris Woodruff said. “Their exciting suite of new services will provide further opportunities for increased corporate and leisure travel between Victoria, Los Angeles, Thailand and South Africa.”
The airline now flies twice weekly direct services from Melbourne to Los Angeles, with services offered on other days via Sydney and Brisbane. The airline will also operate one weekly service to Phuket, in addition to twice weekly services from Brisbane.
