written by WOFA | December 15, 2009

Liz Savage has been appointed to the role of chief commercial officer (CCO) for the Virgin Blue Airlines Group.

Savage was most recently the managing director for Monarch Flights and Holidays, and prior to that had nearly 10 years with easyJet, and will take on her new role in March. She will be responsible for revenue management, sales, product and services, communications, marketing and brand management.

“We have no doubt that Liz’s extensive experience in one of the toughest markets in the world, along with her background in engineering and outstanding professional credentials will be of great benefit to the future of our business,” said Virgin Blue CEO Brett Godfrey in a December 14 statement.

“Importantly, she has a strong history in developing and delivering cross business strategies and initiatives and the formation of strategic business relationships.
