Qantas recorded the highest rate of domestic on-time departures during December 2009, according to new data released from BITRE.
For the month, Qantas recorded an on time departure rate of 89.1, followed by Jetstar (84.5 per cent), Virgin Blue (84 per cent) and Tiger Airways (76.9 per cent). Overall, the industry averaged an on time departure rate of 85.8 per cent, up six percentage points on December 2008.
Of the regional airlines, QantasLink was the best performer at 87.9 per cent, followed by Regional Express at 86.4 per cent and Skywest at 81.4 per cent.
